Made for Bliss

When the Panama Canal expanded in 2016 to accommodate larger ships, it was like they were just waiting for this. This week, at more than 168,000 gross tons, Norwegian Bliss became the largest passenger ship ever to transit the new Panama Canal.

Caribbean Princess First Mega-Liner Through the Canal

If it were a race, there would have been a tape across the end of the Panama Canal, and someone would have hung a big gaudy medal around the bow of Caribbean Princess last week. On October 26, Caribbean Princess became the first mega-cruise ship to transit the newly expanded “Neo-Panamax” Locks of the Panama Canal.
