While DeBarge had the Rhythm of the Night - Princess has the Rhythm of the Caribbean

With Princess Cruises again returning to a summer Caribbean program, they've established a program which will begin next summer that make their Caribbean cruises seem more “Caribbean.” It's called “Rhythm of the Caribbean.”

Everything from cuisine and cocktails to entertainment and enrichment programs will have a Caribbean tinge to it.

High-Energy Shows Will Wow Passengers aboard Symphony

Royal Caribbean is pumping up the crowd with four high-energy shows aboard Symphony of the Seas. The line is particularly proud of one completely new offering in the Royal Theater with eye-popping special effects called “Flight: Dare to Dream.”

Fincantieri Delivers Carnival Horizon

Carnival took delivery of the 133,500-ton Carnival Horizon today at Fincantieri's Monfalcone shipyard. It is the 26th in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet.

Sapphire Princess “Comes Back New”

Sapphire Princess - which spends most of its time in Asia - is heading to Europe for the summer season. Before it set out on its epic 38-night repositioning voyage to Southampton today, it spent two weeks in dry dock at Singapore getting updated with many of Princess' new signature offerings.

One that's immediately noticeable is the new Princess livery on the ship that starts at the bow and flows down the sides of the hull.

Are You Ready to Go Back to Turkey?

The government of Turkey has a new program in place now through the end of 2019 that pays cruise lines an incentive to bring passengers to Turkish ports, a sizable incentive.

This is, of course, to counter the huge drop in tourism and cruise calls the country has experienced due to actual terrorist attacks in tourist areas and the potential for continued attacks.

Paradise Returns

After a month-long dry dock, Carnival Paradise has returned to its year round homeport of Tampa with some significant changes.

The ship offers four- and five-night cruises to the western Caribbean as well as four- to eight-night cruises that include an overnight or day-long call at Havana.
