Where Thousands Will Go to Sea without Ever Leaving Port

It was just about a year and a half ago we were reporting that Carnival Corp had acquired seven acres outside Amsterdam in the Dutch town of Almere for a new training facility. Now we can report that the state-of-the-art facility is just about ready to open - and it will have a new name.

The new training center contains a variety of bridge and engine room simulators for training the company’s deck and engineering officers from all ten of Carnival’s global brands. Carnival says, “It will be the most progressive maritime center of its kind in the world for training and continually improving industry-wide safety and excellence.”
