* Bob Is Back! (Sorta)
Carnival Corp confirmed yesterday that Bob Dickinson is back working for the company. He’s not back in his old position of heading up the Carnival Cruise Line brand, but the 35-year veteran of the industry (all with Carnival) is back to see what he can do about the company’s problems in the North American market.
The company said Dickinson will be focusing on marketing strategies for Carnival and its various brands. He will be reporting directly to Carnival Corp’s vice chairman and COO Howard Frank.
* Crystal to Continue to Invest in Serenity
In November, Crystal Cruises will be investing another $17 million in the redesign of Crystal Serenity for another portion of the ship’s “extreme makeover.” This investment will bring the total spent on upgrades to this ship to $52 million over the last two years.
This work will focus on the ship’s top accommodations, the Crystal Penthouses, and the Lido deck, including the Trident Grill, Tastes restaurant, and the Lido cafe.
