Ignore the Men with Guns - Have a Good Time Ashore

Last Thursday, the island of Jamaica declared a state of emergency in St. James Parish, the parish where Montego Bay is located. Despite armed government troops in the parish, the Jamaican government insists that tourists are not affected. The government said the move was necessary to combat the high crime in portions of the parish outside of Montego Bay.
