Not for Everyone

There’s a special cruise sailing from Amsterdam this Sunday. An exclusive one aboard Costa Fortuna. Who’s it for? Costa’s best customers.

Costa Fortuna is leaving on a 10-day cruise to the Norwegian Fjords, and aboard every passenger will already be a member of Costa Club, the line’s past passenger program. If you aren’t, there was no use trying to book this special sailing.

Narrowing the Gap

It’s always been a trade-off for the cruiser between having the cruise line book your flights or doing it yourself and having complete control over your flights. The trade-off was that if the cruise line booked it, there was more flexibility if you needed to change or cancel your trip, and the cruise line could handle things completely in the instances where there was some sort of schedule irregularity.

Holland America has enhanced their Flight Ease program and the computer functionality that goes with it so that the gap will be narrowed.

Harmony’s Top Deck Is only the Starting Place for Wet Fun

Top deck water parks on cruise ships have now been around for a while. Lines keep putting them on new ships (and refurbished ships), and like with so many elements of the cruise, it’s a case of one-upmanship.

Within the water park, the current battlefront for the one-upmanship between lines is in the water slides. Who can have the most breathtaking or the biggest feature?

Royal Caribbean just revealed their water park plans for Harmony of the Seas, the third Oasis-class ship (but a new generation), which will debut next May. And from the looks of their water slides, Royal Caribbean came to play.
