Costa's Next Ship Will Be Celebrating Italy

Costa pulled back the curtain a bit on their next new ship, Costa Smeralda which will debut late next year.

Water, Water Everywhere

About a hundred passengers aboard New Orleans-based Carnival Dream are wringing out their socks today after a pipe burst Thursday evening on Deck 9 flooding about 50 staterooms with ankle-deep water. Videos posted online show water pouring from a wall at ceiling height. Carnival says that luckily, it was clean water from the fire suppression system.

Showing Appreciation

It doesn't get much coverage, but Carnival Cruise Line does a lot to show appreciation for US military members. Tampa has a lot of military members stationed there, so last Sunday, Carnival had a military appreciation day for 100 military couples aboard Carnival Miracle at Port Tampa Bay.

It was like a cruise for a day - but without leaving port.
