Investing in Japan

Carnival Corp has signed an agreement with the port of Sasebo in Japan for Carnival to invest in the construction of a cruise terminal to be in operation by 2020.

Princess to Continue Japan Programs

Princess Cruises is continuing to dominate in the Japanese market both for Japan-sourced passengers and for their core North American customers who want the unique experience of touring Japan with Japanese passengers who are touring their own country.

The line said for the sixth consecutive year, Diamond Princess will return to Japan in 2019. Next year the ship will operate a March to November season with 60 sailings on 40 unique itineraries.

Going Back for More

Princess Cruises said today they would be returning to Japan for a fourth season in 2016. The cruises, which are focused on Japan are as popular in Princess’ traditional markets as they are with Japanese passengers.

In the 2016 season, Diamond Princess will be offering an array of itineraries from four days to 20 nights. The cruises will sail from Tokyo and Kobe and include extensive port calls in Japan while several also include calls in Korea, Taiwan and Russia.

Princess Sets 2015 Japan Program

Princess Cruises said today they would return to the Japanese market for a third year in 2015 with Diamond Princess sailing a four-month season of 20 sailings from Yokohama and Kobe.
