Open for Business

Berth 3 at Ketchikan has reopened, about a week earlier than planned. It was heavily damaged on June 3 when Celebrity Infinity ran into the dock while arriving during strong winds.

Last month we reported how quickly the city moved to get repairs underway, with assessments already beginning that same evening. The bidding process was completed and a contract was signed on an emergency basis on June 6 with a requirement that the berth again be usable by July 5.

Details can be found in the July 14 edition of Cruise News Daily.
