The Lady Floats

Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady touched water for the first time today when Fincantieri started the float out process at the Sestri Ponente yard near Genoa.

Interior work will now begin, and the ship is still on track to be delivered at the beginning of 2020.

Coming Together

Royal Caribbean gave the world a sneak peek at what's going on at Coco Cay today when they released a couple of photos of the work moving toward completion for an opening in May of the first phase of Perfect Day at Coco Cay.

Viking Jupiter Delivered

Fincantieri delivered Viking Jupiter, the sixth ship in the series, to Viking Ocean Cruises, today at the company's Ancona yard.

Like its five sisters, the 47,800-ton ship will carry 930 passengers, double occupancy.

Unusual Even for Las Vegas

A bride, a groom, a flamboyant officiant and an Elvis impersonator are all normal elements of a Las Vegas wedding, but this couple wanted something a bit different, so when Carnival Cruise Line offered their blimp, it was a match made in heaven.

New Top Deck Feature Makes Caribbean Princess Even More Family-Friendly

Princess Cruises revealed plans today to add a “family splash zone” to a currently under-utilized upper deck of Caribbean Princess during its upcoming dry dock. When the ship returns to service in June, the new water feature will be ready for families to splash the summer away during the ship's summer Caribbean season.

   The Reef Family Splash Zone will be located on the aft portion of Deck 17, running up to the swimming pool, hot tub and splash pool on that deck.
