Carnival Corp to Expand at Dubai

Dubai may not be on your radar, but the city has become a cruise hub for the region. Gulf cruises have become hot items for Europeans as well as locals.

So it should be no surprise Carnival Corp is involved in a major effort to expand cruise tourism at the port.

The company has signed a strategic partnership with Dubai-based holding company Meraas, to develop the Dubai Cruise Terminal and grow maritime tourism in the region and transform Dubai into a major regional maritime tourism hub.

MSC to Base Ship in Dubai & Abu Dhabi

You can add MSC Crociere to the list of cruise lines heading to the Gulf, which seems to be the destination an ever-growing number of European cruise passengers want to explore.

MSC is going to put their own mark on it, however, using the intimate MSC Lirica while most other lines are scheduling their largest and glitziest ships there. MSC is also going to be boarding passengers in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Dubai Is a Hit and a Milestone for RCI

A couple months ago, Royal Caribbean finished its first season with a ship based at Dubai. They were so impressed with the results, they are already making changes to add more sailings than originally planned in their third season.
