Australia Day!

It's Australia Day. Even though there are no cruises, the ships are nearby awaiting their time to return. Here you can see what the crews of P&O's Pacific Explorer and Carnival Spirt did to mark the occasion.

It Takes Longer to Get to Australia

“Anywhere” now includes Australia. Back in February we told you how Carnival Cruise Line's “Pizza Anywhere” program available via their Carnival Hub app was being expanded beyond Carnival Horizon and Carnival Visa. Our friends down at Carnival Australia are excited to tell us that “Pizza Anywhere” is now available on Carnival Spirit and it will be available on Carnival Splendor when it arrives in Australia in December.

Details appeared in the April 4 issue of Cruise News Daily.

The Grinch Drops In

It was Christmas in July today aboard Carnival Spirit in Sydney Harbor, and in a surprise move, the Grinch “dropped in” to the ship from a helicopter in an attempt to steal the Christmas fun from Carnival Spirit.

He swooped in past the Opera House and across the Harbor and onto Carnival Spirit yesterday.

A Spirited Return

Carnival Spirit returned to its Sydney home port on Sunday after a two-week dry dock in Singapore. The ship has been away over a month, however, because of the lengthy repositioning cruises each way.

Details appeared in the June 26 edition of Cruise News Daily.
