Carnival Continues Push into China
The contract creating CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping Ltd has been finalized between China State Shipbuild Corp (CSSC) and Carnival Corp. The joint venture was first announced in 2015. The purpose of the new company is to launch the first multi-ship cruise brand specifically designed to serve the Chinese cruise market.

Building and Buying in China
Carnival Corp has moved another step closer to getting their ship that they will use in China built in China.
Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri signed an agreement with CSSC, China's largest shipbuilding conglomerate to form a joint venture to build cruise ships in China that will be purchased by Carnival for use in China and Asia. (Carnival, CSSC and Fincantieri previously signed a preliminary agreement to work together in November 2014.)
