Queen Elizabeth II today became the UK’s longest reigning monarch. Guess who has been there with her the entire time. That's right, Cunard. Today, Cunard extended its congratulations and best wishes to Her Majesty The Queen on the day she becomes our longest-reigning Monarch. We are very proud of The Queen's association with Cunard which dates back to 1934 when she attended the launch of Queen Mary. Her Majesty also attended the launch of Queen Elizabeth in 1938 and performed herself the launches and namings of Caronia (1947), Queen Elizabeth 2 (1967), Queen Mary 2 (2004) and Queen Elizabeth (2010). The Queen is the only person able to claim attendance at all three Queen Elizabeth launches and made several visits to QE2 as well as undertaken reviews that have included Cunard ships.
